    The east wind begins to blow, carrying warmth into the water. Landscapes merge without boundaries, and over time, the mountains drift into slumber. The Japanese landscape offers layered natural phenomena that are in constant flux; in Veils of Landscape more pigments blend across borders to depict the flowing changes of colour and form in nature.

    Chihiro Yamanaka

    Animation artist and filmmaker based in Japan. After completing her MFA in Animation at Tokyo University of the Arts, she has been exploring experimental forms of animation that merge traditional painting, abstract visuals, and digital technology together. Her work often reflects themes of perception, memory, and the dissolving boundary between self and the natural world. Her films have been screened at international festivals including Annecy and Stuttgart.
