Alessandro Bavari, an Italian-French artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, has been drawn to photography, painting, and music since childhood, experimenting with techniques and cross-fertilizations between visual languages. An experimental visual artist and pioneer of the use of technology in creative research since 1993, in 2022 he began exploring artificial intelligence tools, models, and methods, blending them with traditional languages, aiming to transform visual semantics into new aesthetic approaches. In 2011, he won the Golden Nica at the Prix Ars Electronica with “Metachaos,” first prize for best animation. Thanks to this video, in 2017 he was contacted by 20th Century Fox as a concept artist for Alien: Covenant, following a direct invitation from Ridley Scott. He works as an art director in film with Gabriele Lavia and Luca Guadagnino and continues to serve as a creative supervisor.
