Juan José Medina

Graduated from the School of Plastic Arts of the University of Guadalajara, and from the School of Audiovisual Media of the same university. Thanks to the co-direction of the short film “El octavo día”, the creation has achieved various awards at festivals inside and outside the country. In addition, he has participated in a dozen productions as animator and art director, including “Desierto adentro” by Rodrigo Pla, “Eclosión” by Rita Basulto and “Encrucijada” by Rigo Mora. He wrote and directed his second short film, “Jaulas”, with which he won various international festivals. He has been the winner of three Arieles from the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences.
