Spazio Oltre by Filly Cusenza

installation curated by Filly Biz

“Spazio Oltre” is an installation by architect Filly Cusenza that welcomes you on an emotional journey through Fiber Art.

“I spent the afternoons of my childhood making unconventional clothes for my doll Gennifer, I built her household objects that could give her happiness. Then I embarked, like all women, on the path of life yet to be discovered, marked by simple daily gestures, by the transformations of the body during pregnancies, an unknown path that led me to discover ever new emotions. Fiber Art, the needle, the thread and the fabric, in my journey, have become the means of communication, my word for sharing experiences and highlighting important themes. “Spazio Oltre” is the place of emotions where the thread of a story made up of meeting places is rewound, microcosms that take us back to emotions and memories: the bed, the sofa, the objects, the sheets, the bodies, the mendings. Today my works of art, through fabric, are worn to invade new spaces of everyday life, leaving museums and galleries. in this installation for the ten years of Animaphix, they merge and tell their story.” Filly Cusenza.
