Renee Zhan is a Chinese-American director/animator from Houston, Texas. She earned her BA at Harvard University in 2016 and her MA at the National Film and Television School in 2020. In her films Renee is primarily interested in exploring issues of the body, nature, and sexuality – all things beautiful, ugly, and squishy. Her short films have screened and won awards internationally including the Jury Prize for Animated Short at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
