The gaze wants to discover but devours. The cutout draws and digs into familiar objects, often opaque, until they completely disappear. Sometimes dust remains, sometimes shavings pile up, sometimes it is instead a tabula rasa.

Simon Gerbaud

He is a visual artist graduated from Sorbonne University. He uses drawing, photography and writing to create animated films presented in single-channel format or through interactive installations. His works have been shown in installations and art venues around the world.
