    Saturday is a experiment in documenting a feeling. Being Saturday such a particular day –  which is so between different moods –  how it would feel like, to animate a film only on this day of the week? An experience of being present in the moment, feeling the passing of the day with desires, happenings, surprises, disappointments and mood changes, through animated lines, tempo and music.

    Diego Akel

    Diego Akel works as an animator, filmmaker, creative producer, curator, and educator since 2002. His experimental animation work is internationally recognized, cited on websites such as Colossal, Cartoon Brew, and Hypeness, as well as in publications like the book “Experimental Animation – From Analogue to Digital,” published by the British publisher Routledge. Among his research, Akel studies animation as a spontaneous form of artistic creation, blending cutting-edge technologies with artisanal approaches.
