    Marjane Satrapi

    Marjane Satrapi was an Iranian cartoonist, illustrator, writer, and filmmaker, born in Rasht in 1969 and currently residing in France. She is best known for Persepolis, an autobiographical graphic novel in which she recounts her childhood during the Islamic Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War. Her works explore themes of identity, freedom, memory, and emancipation, with a simple and intense style.

    Vincent Paronnaud

    Vincent Paronnaud (La Rochelle, 1970), also known by his pen name Winshluss, is a French cartoonist, screenwriter, and director. An exponent of independent comics, he achieved international fame with Persepolis (2007), co-directed with Marjane Satrapi and nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Film. In 2009, he won the Fauve d’Or at the Angoulême Film Festival with the graphic novel Pinocchio.
