    Taking inspiration from 20th-century avant-garde experiments in graphical sound generation, the entire image in O/S functions as an optical soundtrack. Abstract motion becomes sound. What you hear is what you see.

    Max Hattler

    Max Hattler’s experimental animation works explore relationships between abstraction and figuration, aesthetics and politics, sound and image, and precision and improvisation. Max holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications, a master’s degree in Animation and a Doctorate in Fine Art. His works were awarded in London and Annecy and screened in Hong Kong, Seoul, Milan. He has been jury member in many festivals such as Animafest Zagreb, and he is Professor at School of Creative Media in Hong Kong.
