    A personal newspaper, made with news from newspapers around the world. Through mixed techniques, from drawing to oil painting, Ursula Ferrara reconstructs in images the thoughts and feelings that reading news of various kinds arouses, underlining with sounds, silences and music a sort of abstract and unpredictable news.

    Ursula Ferrara

    Graduated in the Art Institute of Florence, from 1984 she has been creating black and white animations such as Lucidi folli (1986), Congiuntivo futuro (1988), Come persone (1995), and realized her first color film Quasi niente only in 1997. La partita (2002) was presented in Turin and won the Kodak Award for the best Italian short film; other films were presented in Annecy, Cannes, Zagreb, London, Edinburgh and Berlin. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Imaginaria 2024 festival.
