Marta del Grandi herself says: “My previous album Selva had a poetic and bucolic nature – in my mind, each song is like an oil painting. Dream Life, on the other hand, has a more contemporary approach, with lyrics touching on political and social themes, a more explicit personal narrative, and a more defined pop sound. It is more like a photobook, sharper and more detailed.” As the listening journey continues, Alpha Centauri reveals itself as an enchanting and introspective pop gem, where Marta’s magnetic voice moves between teenage nostalgia and the rediscovery of her inner child, while a distant tuba intones a suspended counter-melody.
