    Every fourteen days a language dies. A woman wakes up lonely in a city where nobody speaks her language. She goes out into the streets and searches the city for someone who can understand her. The Linguist hears her voice and follows her as she travels through the city.

    Diek Gobler

    Diek Gobler is a multi-media and multi-disciplinary artist and has been working with animation for 20 years. His films for children received awards at KROK (2009), Hiroshima (2018), Tindirindis (2009) and Teheran (2009). His short film Last Word received awards at festivals in Belarus, Georgia, Argentina, Uruguay and USA. It is his 5th work in his filmography, and a new short called I haven’t told my garden (2024) follows up standing as his last film.
