Nico Bonomolo is a painter and a director of animated cinema. His works are displayed in various private and public collections, including the permanent collection of the Guttuso Museum in Bagheria, and are part of the SACS Archives of the Museo Riso in Palermo. His short films have received important awards at major festivals around the world. His last work, Confino, was the only Italian animated short film running for the 2018 Oscars, and has won more than forty official awards and selections, as well as nominations for the David di Donatello and the Globo d’Oro for best short film. Since 2017, he has collaborated with the Locarno Film Festival, running workshops on animation in the Kids section. In 2018, he started working on his first feature film, Maestrale, produced by Trampltd with Studiorain.
Heinz Hermanns is the director and CEO of Interfilm Berlin – International Short Film Festival and Distribution. In 1981, he founded the arthouse cinema Eiszeit in Berlin, which he directed for the next nine years. He has directed the Interfilm Short Film Festival in Berlin since 1982, and was the director of Going Underground (2002-2012), an event dedicated to super shorts (lasting up to ninety seconds), which took place on the Berlin underground trains and in Seoul. He is also the co-founder of the Zebra Poetry Film Festival in 2002 and co-founder and director of the Short Film Festival Short Visions in Ningbo China in 2014. Professor at SCAU University in Guangzhou, China. He is also artistic director of the Almagro International Film Festival in Spain since 2018.
Peggy Zejgman-Lecarme is the director of the Grenoble Film Library and the Festival du film court en plein air in Grenoble. She holds a PhD in Film Studies and a Master’s Degree in the Direction of Film Exploitation. She worked for 8 years in Art and Essai Cinemas, as head of cinema, programmer and mediator. After being in charge of the Cinema and Education mission for a regional territorial reality, she took over the direction of the Grenoble Film Archive in June 2016. Since 2017, she has been a member of the short film selection committee of the Annecy International Animation Festival.
