Based on the Serbian folk tale Girl Faster Than a Horse, animated film Trkija/ Elusiveness is a story about a girl of peculiar origin and even more peculiar beauty. She challenges her suitors to a race for a golden apple with a promise to marry the one who wins, and with a threat that everyone will perish if she reaches the apple first. The core of this film is the human need to reach the unreachable and to obtain perfection.

Marija Vulic
Formal education: Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, department Applied Sculpting, 1996. Working experience: art curator of the Cultural Center of Despotovac, where she also worked as a director for a period of three years; secretary of the Cultural and Educational Community in Jagodina, as of 2007 she is working as an art curator in the Cultural Centre ‘Svetozar Marković’ in Jagodina. As a little girl, she dreamed of creating animated films, and today she is doing just that together with students of the School of Animated Film she started in 2007 in the Cultural Center. Being the mentor and the leader of the school she took part in the creation of more than 20 animated films awarded at national and international children film festivals. Founder of ‘JAFILM’, and the art director of Animator Fest/ European Youth Festival of Animated Film.
