Following last year’s Visionaria performance, the musician Alessandro D’Alessandro, one of Italy’s most talented accordionists, will open the 11th edition of Animaphix, accompanied by the unmistakable voice of Peppe Servillo, frontman of Avion Travel, who won the Sanremo Music Festival in 2000 with “Sentimento.”

The musical project “Canzoni” for Animaphix is an intense and engaging sonic journey, in which every note becomes a story and every word transforms into poetry.

The event is scheduled for July 29th at 9:00 PM at the Villa Cattolica Amphitheater – Guttuso Museum, Bagheria.

Alessandro D’Alessandro

Undoubtedly one of the most innovative names on the contemporary music scene. An accordionist, composer, and experimenter, he combines the strength of folk tradition with electronic research, opening up new sonic possibilities for an ancient instrument. With his first solo album, “Canzoni – per accordion preparato & elettronica,” he collaborated with artists such as Elio, Musica Nuda, Neri Marcoré, and Sonia Bergamasco, earning important awards such as the Premio Loano and the Targa Tenco. His music is a bridge between past and future, between roots and vision.

Peppe Servillo

One of the most recognizable and refined voices on the Italian music scene. Leader of Avion Travel, with whom he released the album “Sorpassando” and won the Sanremo Music Festival in 2000 with “Sentimento,” he has carved out an original and diverse artistic path. A sensitive performer, capable of moving between singer-songwriter music, jazz, and Neapolitan tradition, he has also distinguished himself as an actor in projects directed by Lina Wertmüller, John Turturro, and Mimmo Calopresti. His art combines words and music, theater and emotion.
