On the evening of its summer dance, the whole village participates. From dusk to dawn, the music unfolds: rock’n’roll and tangos, slow dances and waltzes. The night reveals couples of dancers, young or old, budding lovers, shy folks, drinkers, brawlers, children laughing and running around.

Since that time he has created a very personal style for his animated films: using tempera, pastels or sand, he creates the scenes directly under the camera, with a covering process. He received the César award for best short film for Au premier dimanche d’août (2002), a special mention in Cannes for Conte de Quartier (2006) and in 2015 the Cristal d’honneur award at the Annecy Animation Film Festival for the overall body of his work. He also worked as a teacher in various animation schools. In 2010 La traversée won the award for best screenplay at the Angers Premiers Plans Festival.
