    Simone Massi

    Simone Massi was born in Pergola (Pesaro-Urbino) on May 23, 1970. He studied Animated Film at the State Art Institute of Urbino and works as an independent animator. His short films, such as La memoria dei cani or Dell’ammazzare il maiale, are incredible insights into a peasant and resistant imagination, as stubborn as the meticulous animation technique he employs in his films. His work reached an ideal zenith in Invelle (2023), presented in Orizzonti at the Venice Film Festival.
